On Site Literacy Workshops

Student Free Day Workshops
Student Free Day workshops are highly popular as they provide a cost effective way to deliver professional development to all staff at one time. Schools or school groups considering this option are advised to book well in advance as these dates book early. Any of our workshops can be booked or tailored workshops may provide schools with additional options.
After School Workshops
After School workshops are a popular and cost effective way for South East Queensland schools to provide professional development to all staff. Our standard workshops are commonly booked as a series of 90 minute after school workshops. Schools may also request specific topics to suit the needs of their educational community.
Teachers' Aides Workshops
The role of the Teachers' Aide is diverse. Many Teachers' Aides assist in classrooms and/or provide valuable intervention strategies or support programs for students. We understand that Teachers' Aides require a broad range of skills and knowledges to effectively support students and teachers. Literacy Solutions provides full and half day workshops to empower them in the following areas:
- Supporting Classroom Instruction (Reading/Writing/Oral Language)
- Supporting "At Risk" Students
Parent Workshops
Parents provide a foundation in a child's life for the aquisition of language and literacy. The more informed parents are about the value the early learning, the greater a child's opportunities will be in life.
Sixty minute presentations are available to support parents of students. Topics include:
- Kindergarten/Prep
- Beginning Readers/Writers
- Middle Years' Readers/Writers
- Struggling Readers
- Classroom Helpers
