The A4 Word Mat features a compilation of 114 high frequency words taken from the most common sight word lists. The words have been spread over two sides in order to maximise the font size for young writers. In addition to font size, other features of the high frequency word mat are the use of Beginner Font to aid copying and space to record “most used words” for individual students.
To assist students to locate words, images have been carefully inserted to support learners to skim the overall mat and to scan for specific words.
